SoulMate Charters provides backcountry and near shore fishing charters in Southwest Florida. Captain Rob Modys is a knowledgeable and insightful guide, helping experienced and novice anglers alike catch snook and redfish. I was brought on board to develop a logo, business card, and rack cards to promote his business.
Drawing inspiration from old maritime imagery, I wanted to give the logo a weathered, nautical look. For the typography, I used the Fell Types by Hoefler & Co., which have a warm, handmade quality that fit perfectly with the visual direction I was looking for.
Wanting to remain consistent with the worn, nautical vibe, I only used black and white, letting the typography shine throughout the stationery.
The rack cards, used to promote Captain Rob's business to locals and tourists, had to attract attention, yet remain consistent with the rest of the identity. I introduced a soft blue color, reminiscent of the ocean, to balance the photography.
